A gazzillion thanks to all tourism supporters for an overwhelming turn-up  yesterday during the Teh Tarik session with Melaka Chief Minister yesterday! 

A lot of new information, ideas and opinion been shared during the dialogue session led by our beloved Chief Minister, YAB Datuk Seri IR Hj. Idris bin Hj Haron and continued by the State Secretary, YB Datuk Wira Hj. Naim bin Abu Bakar. 

We will have another session by end of this year and we really hope that more turn up, more ideas and more opinion in the next session.

STADHUYS MUSEUM COMPLEX

Stadthuys building built in 1650 is a legacy of the Dutch and used as the official residence of the Dutch Governor and his officers. Building's original color is white but it was later at red paint in order to match the nearby Christ Church.

The building is located in the Lower City now turned into a museum complex that has five separate museum inside.
The 5 museums are:

Melaka’s appeal lies in its rich and colourful past. Melaka is renowned as the place where the history of Malaysia began. From a quiet fishing village back in the early 15th century, Melaka grew into one of the world’s greatest trading empires. In the 16th century, Melaka enjoyed a reputation as the foremost maritime trading centre in the region. Merchants came from as far as Arabia, China, India and Europe to conduct trade in silk, spices, gold and porcelain.

Today, there’s a lot more to Melaka in addition to its fascinating stories, legends and historical attractions. Centuries of multi-racial living vultures have produced varied customs, festivals, foods and languages. Melaka has a lot more to offer based on the 12 sub-sectors tourism product, namely History, Culture, Recreation, Sports, Shopping, Convention, Health, Education, Agro, “Makan-Makan”, Melaka My Second Home and Youth Tourism. With its chosen slogan “Visit Historic Melaka Means Visit Malaysia”, Melaka has so much to offer and has become the melting pot of all the races (Malays, Chinese, India, Portuguese, Peranakan, Chitty and others).

From historical heritage sites to its cultural richness, Melaka has been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNECSO) as the Historic Cities of Malaysia, together with Georgetown, on 7th July 2008. This reflects the succession of historical and cultural influences arising from its roots as a trading port linking East and West.

Rumah Terbuka Aidil Fitri Peringkat Negeri Melaka akan diadakan pada 19 Julai 2015(bersamaan 3 syawal) di Dewan MITC, Ayer Keroh. Mari Bersama-sama memeriahkan Majlis Rumah Terbuka tersebut. Menurut YB, Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Melaka pada tahun ini Rumah Terbuka Aidil Fitri Kerajaan Negeri diadakan bersama TYT Yang DiPertua Negeri Melaka, YAB Ketua Menteri dan YB, Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri.

SAMBUTAN MALAM TUJUH LIKUR NEGERI MELAKA 2015

Kerajaan Negeri Melaka melalui Bahagian Promosi Pelancongan, Jabatan Ketua Menteri Melaka akan mengadakan program Sambutan Malam Tujuh Likur di Pusat Bantuan Pelancong, Ayer Keroh Melaka. Tujuan program ini diadakan bagi meraikan kepulangan perantauan yang pulang ke Negeri Melaka yang akan meraikan Hari Raya Aidilfitri yang bakal menjelma di samping mempromosikan Negeri Melaka sebagai salah sebuah destinasi pelancongan yang mesti dilawati semasa bulan perayaan. Acara kemuncak program akan menyaksikan YAB Ketua Menteri Melaka mengedarkan Pek Hari Raya kepada pelancong dan pengguna lebuh raya Tol Ayer Keroh bermula pada jam 10.30 malam.

PESTA DURIAN NEGERI MELAKA 2015

Pesta Durian Negeri Melaka 2015 ini merupakan acara Pelancongan Kerajaan Negeri Melaka yang dianjurkan oleh Melaka Tropical Fruit Farm yang menggunakan slogan ''Makan Sampai Puas" membolehkan para peminat durian menikmati kenikmatan raja buah ini hannya dengan bayaran RM20 bagi dewasa dan RM15 bagi kanak-kanak (5-12). Selain itu pelbagai acara dan hadiah menarik menanti pengunjung di sana.

Festival Kuih Tradisional Aidilfitri Negeri Melaka

Festival Kuih Tradisional Aidilfitri Negeri Melaka 2015 ini merupakan acara Pelancongan Kerajaan Negeri Melaka yang dianjurkan oleh Japerun Rim dengan kerjasama Bahagian Promosi Pelancongan (BPP) Jabatan Ketua Menteri Melaka, Pejabat Kementerian Pelancongan & Kebudayaan Malaysia Negeri Melaka dan Tourism Malaysia Melaka.
Program ini akan berlangsung pada:-

Masa : 8.00 pagi hingga 12.00 tengah malam

Tempat : Japerun Rim, Jasin, Melaka
