CHINA-ASEAN INTERNATIONAL TOURING ASSEMBLY & CHINA-ASEAN JOURNALIST RALLY - A 10,000KM CHINA-ASEAN TOUR IN MELAKA

Group of 28 4WD car and 3 buses loaded of participants from China-ASEAN International Touring Assembly (CAITA) has arrived in Melaka on 16th September 2015 . They have started their 10,000km rally from Nanning, China on 17th August and will take around 22 days to complete the journey in 7 following countries; China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia , Singapore and Cambodia before their destination on their own country.

It aims to highlight the achievements of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (FTA) as well as publicising the upcoming Chinese-ASEAN Expo and promoting bilateral exchanges in sport, trade , tourism and culture.

Tour participants include ASEAN journalists, drivers, the tour organising committee and tourism and travel agents. A number of sportspersons will join the tour as it passes through the various countries. 

Melaka has been chosen state in Malaysia where they have a rest before the rally continues to Singapore. in 3 days 2 nights stay in Melaka, all participant has experienced "Melaka Hospitality" and be brought to discover a few tourism spots in Heritage Zone. 

The official Flag-Off ceremony took place this morning in Seri Negeri by YAB Datuk Seri Ir. Hj. Idris bin Hj. Haron, the Chief Minister of Melaka, together with a few EXCO members and the head departments from various agencies.
