The official launching of new office of Tourism Melaka ( previously BPP) at Bangunan Kota Cemerlang, Ayer Keroh took place last Friday , 15 Jan 2016 by Rt. Hon. Datuk Seri Ir. Hj. Idris bin Haron, Melaka Chief Minister.
The event was attended by many Invited guest, tourism industrial partners, Head of Departments and many more .
With the new transformation in line with year 2016, Tourism Melaka seen will be facing with a new challenge to achieve 16.5m tourists. Responds to that, Norena Jaafar, General Manager of Tourism Melaka believe the target set by Melaka Chief Minister can be achieved with 134 tourism events listed in the Calendar of Events (COE) not including the international promotions /roadshows in niche markets.
"We have new strategy to tap the tourists to come to Melaka again this year. We believe the new strategies including massive promo in media socials, smart partnerships with a few agencies/individuals who has experties and volunteers to assist us with some ideas to improve our way of market Melaka , the numbers of visitors set by State can be achieved."
Located at the main street of Lebuh Ayer Keroh and easy to access , Tourism Melaka welcome all partners, clients, agencies if they need an assistance on tourism or to have discussions for the development of the industry.
